hooray for rizza!

i went up to philly to meet rizza today and she gave me the great news:

she was offered a job by the princeton review today, on the spot, right after her interview. she accepted. yay!

i am very proud of my cousin.

she will start may 17 and move in a couple of days before. i’m stoked. i’m looking forward to showing her the ropes around here.

now we will have to see how long this arrangement lasts…..but i want to make the most of it, you bet.

my life is insane….

rizza got an interview with the princeton review in philly….so she’s going to be in town on tuesday. one of those “we’ll fly you in, interview you, then fly you out later that night” deals. she wants me to meet up with her for a few hours to at least give her the philly primer…..so i’ll do that, but i have to rush out of there, get to soccer practice and then work….

i am excited for her. she will probably come and live with us. but of course, that arrangement may not last long (not that it’s anyone’s fault). i’ve always thought it would be cool for us to live together, maybe take some dance classes together and now that it really could happen — it possibly won’t last very long because i might leave. such is one of the great ironies in life.

there is tons of crap going on this week. not that it’s a bad thing. it’ll help the week go by faster. then….next sunday….big day….deep breath….

job interviews seem to be a common theme here lately…..

meanwhile, plenty of housework beckons. stupid cats, leaving hair EVERYWHERE. ew. and there is a lawnmower to fix. stupid tree stump. oh well, that’s my fault. and a lawn to fix up. stupid trees that shed leaves. and the to-do list goes on and on….

maybe i need one of those leftover beers in my fridge….nah….

yay, spring.

finally, a beautiful day, weather-wise….it was somewhere in the mid-70s today. i was starting to wonder when spring was going to start…

and finally, my soccer kids won a game…..we had a nine-game losing streak dating back to last fall….but they played a great game and won today. yay for them. i wanted them to win so badly….not for me, but for them.

i was stoked because on friday, we were watching espn2 and doug lesmerises was on “stump the schwab”….sports-themed jeopardy…..and he did well in his 30 minutes of fame….got to the last round but couldn’t get the grand prize….but he did have the whole newsroom glued to the tvs…..mad props to him….

lastly, two more weeks until the big interview….holy cow….i’m excited and scared all at the same time…..my waiting period has only intensified….
