that rosebud girl
comings, goings, thoughts, whatever.
the to-do list from hell.
so it’s friday, and this wickedly insane week is coming to a close. and my to-do list is sort of shrinking. let’s see how this went:
- finish knitting one bag and then felt it (and felt one other bag and sew on buttons) — nope, still in progress. i ran out of yarn on tuesday and couldn’t get a replacement until today.
- finish crocheting some wallets and making at least three more in different colors — close. i finished two wallets!
- foam printing at least 20 cards minimum (i need these for the sampler eventually too) — DONE!
- finish up bargain bin bracelets and some other jewelry — DONE!
- spin at least three skeins of yarn (ha, fat chance, but i have to try) — DONE! (i actually spun five skeins.)
- clean my studio/office/room/probably the whole damn house (so you know, my parents don’t think i live in squalor) — ha. not even close.
- fight with the dmv — DONE! (damn bastards.)
- finish no less than three outstanding graphic projects before the end of this week, especially printing and mounting my damn state fair entry since i don’t want to worry about this when mom & dad are here — almost. finished one of the projects and got my state fair entry printed. but i found out i don’t have to turn in the state fair entry until mid-july.
this still sucks.
on the bright side, we managed to buy some towels (for the guests, you know?) and some nice wooden folding chairs. woohoo.
and one of my uncles confirmed that he and his family are indeed coming up here for one day, so there will be a rather large outing to folsom lake on the docket.
speaking of family, mine is probably somewhere in the air right now. or maybe in honolulu for their layover?

… isn’t even close to being enough time. yargh.
just my luck that three major events have been scheduled for about the same time:
- mom and dad visiting on Sunday
- the Sacramento Craft Mafia’s Get made show on Sunday
- the dance recital at el dorado dance academy on the 30th
dammit.
as a consequence, my table looks like this:
the to-do list is daunting, and i have no idea how i’m supposed to get all this crap done.

- finish crocheting some wallets and making at least three more in different colors
- foam printing at least 20 cards minimum (i need these for the sampler eventually too)

i’ve almost decided to dedicate one day a week to a different craft, but the need to run errands kind of throws that plan into chaos. i still need to buy some stuff at the bead store too to finish some jewelry.
and oh yeah, this week is the final week of dance class. and one of my ballet teachers is probably going to schedule an extra rehearsal for us because we really need it. *&%&^&*^&*(^*(##@#$%!
at least some progress has been made with the bargain bin stuff:
alas, this is going to suck.

… hilton, that is.
what a whiny, self-absorbed bitch.
she thinks being sent back to jail isn’t fair? puh-leeze. try being homeless. or maybe paralyzed in a car accident caused by a drunken person like yourself, dumbass.
this whole thing pisses me off. buck up, for heaven’s sake. it’s your damn fault your bony, privileged ass wound up in jail.
as i said to a friend today, if she wanted to be taught a lesson, i’d gladly shank her in jail.
this is exactly why privileged, rich, snotty idiots like this piss me off. and i have known a few throughout my life. none nearly as famous, but most as self-absorbed and stupid as paris.
if they withered and died, i wouldn’t shed a tear. i’d celebrate the gene-pool cleaning and toast the fact humanity would be better off without them.
